ABOUT JAVA WITH JEN
Thanks so much for coming by! My name is Jenilee, and I’m “Momma” to four precious boys, Judah, Levi, Benjamin and Shiloh, and happy wife to Stephen. There’s nothing much better in life than making a delicious cup of coffee and sitting down with a friend to share hearts, life, and some stress-relieving laughter. With that in mind, I launched a podcast “Java with Jen” where I love sharing life with all my awesome listeners, be they new friends or old. The women who’ve come through our college ministry, whom I had the privilege of mentoring for a season, were a huge part of my inspiration for this podcast. I remember as a younger woman being so hungry for mentorship, for the wisdom of women who’ve gone before me and learned keys and strategies for the challenges of life, and yet so few were available to teach me what they’d learned. It’s always been my desire to be available to younger women, or anyone I can encourage, to walk with them through the normal life challenges we all face, and to do it in a way that’s real, transparent, and leaves them with hope that they got this! As a boy-mom, a Pastor and a personal stylist, I’ve seen it alllllll, and have heard so many times, “Why doesn’t anyone ever TELL you this stuff?” Well, at Java with Jen, I WILL tell you the “stuff”. Let’s be real… plastic people don’t inspire anyone. I love doing REAL LIFE with REAL WOMEN who just want to be the best version of themselves. I may not have all the answers, but I want to lend a hand to encourage you wherever you’re at. Encouraging. Inspiring. Authentic… with coffee in hand and real life in our faces, let’s do this… together!
On every show…
At the start, I like to take a minute to respond to questions I receive in email (firstname.lastname@example.org), and at the end of each show, I’ll share some super practical life-hacks! As a personal fashion stylist**, many of these tips will be fashion helps, but I love anything that makes life easier and I’ll be sure to share the love. From time to time I’ll have guests on the show so stay tuned… it’s sure to be a fun ride! Subscribe to “Java with Jen” at Itunes or the Podcasts app, there’ll be a new episode every other week! My blog will be the place you can find any associated links or show notes that I think will be helpful, so be sure to stop on over here regularly to get your hands on something fun and resourceful! See you soon!
**I’m also currently a personal fashion stylist for Stitch Fix, so if you ever hear me reference my life as a stylist, that’s what I’m referring to! I’ve been with them for over a year and a half am obsessed with the company, values, service, clothes, all of it! If you have ever wanted to try our service, feel free to use my referral link to sign up, and if you want to request me as your stylist, just put that in your profile notes! I style men too, so if you and your guy want to do it together, go for it! It’s super fun, slightly addicting, and a great way to start to explore a new side of your style. 🙂 **
I grew up a missionary kid on an indian reservation in southern Arizona, and at 14 years old felt the call of the Lord to serve him in ministry. From there I’ve served him in missions work, worship leading, small group leading, leadership development, youth pastoring, college pastoring, regular pastoring, mentoring and whatever else He decided to throw at me in various seasons of life. 🙂
I found ministry training through the Honor Academy Leadership & Ministry school in Tyler Texas, Ekklisia Ministry’s School of the Prophets, John Paul Jackson’s Streams Ministry dream interpretation courses, and Bethel’s School of Supernatural Ministry online courses. I’ve been licensed as a Pastor through my Lead Pastors who pastored at Browsnville Revival church in Brownsville, Florida, during the revival. I’ve been in ministry since 14 years old, pastoring with my husband since 21 years old. Stephen and I have a ministry organization called Free Life Missions that we use for foreign mission trips (primarily him since I stay home with the kiddos most times) and he has a blog he keeps up with on our site there. My husband and I were youth pastors, associate pastors and college pastors at our first church until our pastor went on to be with Jesus, and have been the College Pastors at our current church since 2012. We both love to bring the Word of God through speaking engagements locally and internationally when we are not tending to responsibilities at our home church.
I believe fully that the Word of God is the one true source of Truth (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Cor. 6:7, Jn. 17:17) , and am personally committed to the integrity of my teachings being absolutely scriptural (James 3:1, 2 Tim. 3:16) . I believe that Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life (1 Pet. 2:22, 2 Cor 5:21, Heb. 4:15) , died as fully God and fully man, rose again and redeemed mankind from the power of death, making salvation available to all who believe on him and call him Lord (Heb 2:5-18). I believe all who claim to believe in Christ ought to live as He did, and am committed to live that way as well (I Jon. 2:6, James 3:1, James 2:14-26). Thank you for your interest, for your support and I look forward to sharing life with you in this capacity!
